I spent the better part of today watching the SCPBRG webcam on San Jose City Hall. Today my OP is my couch, perfect visibility and temps are mild. Already on 3rd lunch, this one with a cold beer. Perfect view of the eyrie and no chance of disturbing the birds. I couldn't ask for much more on a day off.

I'm a raptor biologist monitoring peregrine falcons on Santa Cruz Island, one of California's Channel Islands. I will try to post something every day I'm on island (and near an internet connection) during the 2007 breeding season.
I'll err on the vague side when it comes to cliff, perch and eyrie locations out of respect for the birds.
I tend to post photos first and text later, so check the old posts for new commentary.

are those brewskies sporting lure jackets?
Yup, those are noose harnesses being rebuilt, and they're actually on root beer cans, though the traditional noose harness holder is a Tecate can.
